Accompanying Others in Grief (Module 2)

Building upon Module 1 “Journey through Grief” series of classes, we will turn our attention on how you can help another person grieve well.

We will explore the topic of suffering and how it affects our view of God. Our understanding of suffering from a biblical perspective guides our effectiveness as caregivers. We will examine essential characteristics of a beneficial caregiver. We will learn practical skills for both listening and responding to another person who is grieving. Throughout the four classes, we will explore how to invite God into the process within that caregiving relationship. Each class will include teaching, personal reflection, role playing, and group interaction.
