Experiential Approach to Ministry Team Building

Stages of Ministry Team Building
Stage 1

Relationship with God

Team members are given an opportunity to examine expectations, and walk through guided times of retreat individually and with their team to focus on their dependence on God.

Stage 2

Building Trust

Understanding elements of trust building in teams is essential for their growth. Through guided activities, individuals will discover what is involved in developing healthy levels of trust on a ministry team.

Stage 3

Develop Interpersonal Skills

Teams learn how each member "tends" to respond to conflict and explore together a biblical model of working through differences while serving together.

Stage 4

Commit to Covenant Community

Explore 8 Christian covenant values that unite Christ-followers globally. Ministry teams then create a "covenant" to live by in the midst of the team they are called to serve within Jesus' Great Commission.

Live in Community

Participate in listening as you step alongside each other and spend time discovering skills to encourage one another as you journey through ministry together.

Serve Together

Specific ministry assignments are focused on during this stage. Explore together how each member fits into the ministry ahead and commit the team members and the specific Great Commission ministry to God as you prepare to serve.
